Xbox One, Forza Motorsport 5, and M&M’s: Snack and Video Games for Christmas

9 Dec

I am a member of the Collective Bias Social Fabric Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and Xbox One and M&M’s.  It is always an honor to work with them.

Who looks for an Xbox One Forza Motorsport 5 game on Black Friday at Walmart?  This girl.  Who needs to be medicated?  Same girl.  Amazingly, we beat out one hundred two-thousand other shoppers to grab this year’s must have game and snack; yes we mean you M&M’s.

So every year, Beloved and I plan our highly skilled, technical ninja-like assault on the stores on Black Friday.  We go to bed early (yeah right) and head out in the wee hours to hustle this year’s Christmas presents.  But seriously, I should have thought through the plan to be standing at 1am in the Xbox game line crossing my fingers for the latest Forza 5 Limited.  Sadly, we weren’t successful at nabbing the Limited Edition but beat out everyone else on the Forza 5 game.  Suckers!  If you can get your hands on this game, don’t walk, run and grab it now!

If you haven’t purchased the Xbox One yet, what are you waiting for?  This gaming system is amazing and does just about everything except laundry.  We use ours for games, family movie night, Chicago Bears football watching and even to talk to friends.  It’s voice activated and has amazing graphics; you will NOT feel like you are playing, it’s a better picture than real life.  They are pricey but if you have gamers in the house, it’s well worth the money.

We bought the game for our whole family and each year we choose who gets to decorate the Christmas tree; this year it’s Beloved’s turn.  So imagine Just Plane Dad’s fraught when he sees a manly, fuel inspired, high octane game like Forza 5 sitting under a perfectly dainty tree!  Hey, if you’re living in a girl’s world…there’s gonna be frills.

I love that Santa can fill up everyone’s stockings with their favorites: Dad loves M&M’s pretzels, Beloved loves M&M’s milk chocolate, The New Guy loves M&M’s peanut butter and I prefer the Peanut.  The bags are large enough to fill up a lot of space in the stocking so Santa doesn’t have to buy as many fillers; leaving more room in the holiday budget.

I noticed at Walmart that M&M’s and Xbox were part of the Buy, Snap, Redeem promotion.  If you buy both you can earn a $10 Walmart eGift card.  More savings!  What’s that I hear?  Swish of a text, yes, my $10 eGift just arrived.  I’m going to use this to buy popcorn for family movie nights!

Snagging your reward is simple:

BUY Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One and M&M’s products

SNAP a photo of your receipt and text it to 811811 with code M&M

REDEEM your $10 eGift card at Walmart

I don’t know about you but anytime we break open a bag of M&M’s we start playing with them and making candy art.  Yes, we still eat them afterwards; we’re not crazy after all!  Well, now that I think about it, playing with your food is one of those big mommy no-no’s.  Anyway, I digress.

Imagine my delight when I found out that there is a Gaming is Better with M Pixel Art Instagram sweepstakes going on.  I’m sure that most entries will create a car from the Forza 5 game and we did the same…but ours has that something special, don’t you think?  Our pixel art is definitely #FueledByMM.

On Christmas morning, as we gather with family and friends, I can’t wait to see Beloved and her boyfriend’s faces when they open the Xbox One Forza 5 Motorsport game and their M&M’s.  I already know that we will spend the rest of the day racing (and snacking).  I better go brush up on my driving skills!

What is Santa bringing you for Christmas?
