Fight Winter colds with V8 V-Fusion Refreshers

I received a complimentary V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers and compensation to tell you my thoughts on this product.  Below is my honest opinion.  I am honored to have worked with V8 and Business2Blogger.

V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers for breakfast

I am an avid juice drinker and lover.  I’ve never met a piece of fruit or vegetable that I didn’t like and while I rarely drink juice because of the calories, I love it all!

My family-not so much.  My daughter has never really enjoyed juice of any kind and I think that stems from the fact that when she was younger, we often lived overseas in places that didn’t have juice options so we didn’t give it to her.

My husband does not like fruit…of any kind.  I have no idea how this happened but in my twenty plus years with him, I’ve never seen him willingly eat a piece of fruit.  On a bet one time, he ate a grape but I’ll spare you the details of what that event looked like!  Since he doesn’t like fruit, he rarely will drink juice either.  Typically, it has to be mixed into sweet tea to even get him to try it.

So they were less than ecstatic when my V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers arrived on the doorstep.  I’d been longing to try them and had only recently heard of them at my local grocer.  Beloved ripped open the box (as she does any package that arrives in the mail) and we placed our 2 flavors, Black Cherry Berry and Peach Strawberry, in the frig to cool.

Since I take several medications in the morning, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to try out the juice.  Berries are my favorite so I started with the Black Cherry Berry.  It is delicious.  It’s sweet and a bit tart, which I like, because sugary drinks can be overwhelming.  You can definitely taste the mix of berries included and the cherry is more subtle.  This could be my opinion only as cherries are my least favorite fruit and I’m not well versed on their taste straight off the tree!  I can imagine that this flavor would make a great holiday gelatin…if I was one of those Suzy Homemaker types.

The next few mornings proceeded the same way alternating with the Peach Strawberry.  This flavor is my favorite-love anything that you do to a Peach-and it’s also beautiful in color.  I drink mine from a goblet so that it feels like I’m treating myself. Why save the fancy glasses for New Year’s?

I prefer to drink juice with breakfast but I love to use the V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers as the liquid in my dessert smoothies too.  Simply pour 8oz. of your favorite flavor in the blender, add in any variety of fresh or frozen fruit, some ice cubes and blend.  Get creative and add milk, honey, spices, etc.  Here’s a secret tip: Peach and Ginger is delicious together so add a dash to the Peach Strawberry smoothie; delish!

Since I was trying out the juices, I bribed the family to take part.  Guess what?  Just Plane Dad loves the Black Cherry Berry.  Beloved still isn’t a fan but that just leaves more juice for me.  I love that V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers are naturally sweetened, contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, include a blend of veggies and offer 100% of the recommended dialy value of Vitamin C.  So important as we enter the cold and flu season of Winter.

Check out the nutritional information and other flavors on the V8 V-Fusion® Refreshers fact sheet.  Run to the store and grab your favorite flavor and then tell us in the comments below which one you like best!  They also offer a light option, sparking juice and juice boxes.
