Purina ONE wants your dog to take the 28 Day Challenge

Helicopter Mom and Just Plane Dad are so glad that we decided to make #OneSmartDifference with #CollectiveBias and Purina ONE.  Tukker the Wonder Dog hasn’t stopped thanking us!  We switched brands and tried the Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge with their new line of dry dog foods.

Tukker and Sookie order Purina ONE

Most everyone knows that we have an amazing dog named Tukker, but not everyone knows how he came to be a part of our family.  We adopted Tukker as a puppy from the local Schnauzer rescue.  This ranks as one of the most important days in our life.

Tukker has no idea that he’s a dog and is perfectly happy hanging out with anyone that has a lap. He gives back to us twenty-fold the love we felt upon first meeting him.  Tukker is now 10 years old and we’ve noticed a natural decline in his health.  He has most of the typical issues that Miniature Schnauzers get and some are controlled with medicine. Because of his age, we have to monitor his health daily and prevent troublesome areas from getting out of hand.  We do this through regular veterinary visits and professional grooming (see how nice he looks after his session).

Tukker before and after grooming

For me, the hardest (and saddest) problems occurred gradually.  His soft, shiny coat has turned coarse and wiry. He no longer enjoys being brushed as his once silky hair is now prone to tangles. I so miss the connection we once had as I brushed and petted his fuzzy little body!

I headed online to research ways to help and found that Purina ONE has all sorts of goodies in their dog food. I’m most excited that Purina ONE Smartblend: Vibrant Maturity 7+ Senior Formula has Omega 6 fatty acids and botanical oils which may help your dog get a radiant coat and healthy skin.

Excited to try out the products, I noticed that Purina ONE is running a 28 Day Challenge for owners to test their foods.  There are many potential benefits and Tukker is so important to our family’s wellbeing that it’s worth a try!  Tukker, Sookie and I ordered his 8lb. bag online with Amazon Prime and got excited to start our challenge.

Purina ONE believes you will see the benefits below after taking the 28 Day Challenge.  Here’s our results.

Time

How can it help?

Did we notice?

Day 1

Taste: When your dog loves the taste of his food, it can make all the difference. YES. Tukker has never met a dry dog food he didn’t like. This has real poultry, meat or fish as the #1 ingredient.

Day 7

Energy: An optimal blend of ingredients provides the energy your dog needs. YES. Tukker seemed more willing to play with guests.

Day 14

Digestibility: Highly digestible food helps more nutrients go to work inside your dog. YES. Tukker is prone to vomiting and we did not have this issue.

Day 21

Skin & Coat: Balanced nutrition supports a beautiful coat and healthy skin. YES. We noticed that the fur on his back is softer.

Day 21

Bright Eyes: Your dog’s eyes are a window to his health. Not yet.  Tukker has pretty cloudy eyes due to his age.

Day 28

Dental Healthy: Great nutrition and crunchy kibble support strong teeth and healthy gums. Not yet.  He has his dental appointment next week so we’ll see.

We’ve had a great time recording the changes seen in Tukker during the Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge and the best reward is that Tukker seems healthier and happier already.  We hope you get excited enough to switch brands and try out the Purina ONE dog food.

Doesn’t your elderly dog deserve a chance to feel better? What do you hope to help them with?

What ONE difference will you see? Why not join the 28-Day Challenge today?

I think a change in coat is one of the biggest differences I have seen with my dogs as they age. I am sure proper nutrition is key to keeping them healthy and happy! #client

It’s strange how our animals go through the same thing we do! I’d love to have my soft, silky 20 year old-self hair back…oh well.

We rescued Buddie in January and have been through the mill trying to find a dog food. Thanks for posting…

Try this one out, it has many satisfied owners and we were pleasantly surprised in Tukker’s changes after such a short time. I love that the food has chicken as its first ingredient. And it’s not too expensive.
